FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cleveland, Ohio, November 6, 2006-They have been recognized as =
innovators and collaborators.  Their performances have been touted as =
"breathtaking, catapulting, raw and riveting."   Is it any wonder, then, =
that when GroundWorks Dancetheater takes to the stage at historic =
Trinity Cathedral premiering the work of internationally renown guest =
artists Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer, electricity is anticipated to =
fill the air?

Bridgman and Packer's contribution to the evening, as yet untitled, =
employs shadow and light effects.  To those familiar with their work, =
this is no surprise given their interest in working with video and multi =
media effects.  This particular piece juxtaposes image and reality in an =
interplay of changing perspectives.  Original music is composed and =
recorded by GroundWorks Director of Music Gustavo Aguilar.

Two GroundWorks' pieces, eleveneleven and Before With After round out =
the program.   The creation of artistic associate Amy Miller, =
eleveneleven boasts an original score composed by the 2006 Cleveland =
Arts Prize Emerging Artist, Ryan Lott. A fluid work for four dancers, it =
explores a range of physical connections, illustrating the levels of =
awareness in human interactions. =20

GroundWorks Artistic Director David Shimotakahara's Before With After, =
performed to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, weaves duets, solos and =
the ensemble into a seamless whole touching on the intersection of joy =
and sorrow experienced throughout life's journey.

GroundWorks will perform its Landmark Series at Trinity Cathedral, 2230 =
Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, from November 17 through November 19.  Friday =
and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., Sunday matinee is at 3 p.m. =
Tickets are on sale now.  General admission is $22, seniors and students =
