HOMELESS MEN IN TRANSITION CREATE A NEW THEATRE PIECE BASED ON THEIR
JOURNEYS TOWARD RECOVERY

NOVEMBER 16 - 19, 2006

Cleveland Public Theatre and Y-Haven present
Making it Right

Cleveland Public Theatre's Education Department and the Cleveland YMCA's
Y-Haven Program present Making it Right, the 2006 CPT/Y-Haven
Performance Project. For the seventh year in a row, CPT, Cleveland's
leading alternative theatre and Y-Haven, YMCA's transitional home and
treatment center for homeless men in recovery from drug and alcohol
addiction, have collaborated to create an original performance. CPT
Artists work with residents of Y-Haven to create an original play
performed by the residents and based on their personal experiences. This
year's production is guided by Director Denis Griesmer and Dramaturge
Deborah Burke.

Making It Right is the story of Al Anderson, a man who has successfully
turned his life around yet struggles to reconcile his feelings around
the stranger that he harmed in the past. It explores universal themes of
regret, forgiveness and responsibility. Despite his successes and
material comforts, Anderson attempts to reconcile himself with the
nightmares of his past in order to move forward with his future.=20

An audience favorite year after year, the CPT/Y-Haven Project offers
candid insight into important issues of our society and gives real hope
for growth and change. Audiences are continually blown-away by the
poignant and moving stories presented by this powerful collaboration.

Making it Right at Cleveland Public Theatre will be presented FREE to
the public:

Friday, November 17           7:30pm
Sunday, November 19         3:00pm

November 18th at 7:00pm.  Tickets for this benefit performance are $75
and include a buffet dinner and silent auction. To purchase tickets for
