BAROQUE CONCERT AND LEATHER EXHIBIT AND WORKSHOP

Arts in the Cathedral of Church of the Saviour will present a concert of =
music by Bach, Telemann and others entitled "If It Ain't Baroque." on =
Sunday November 19th at 3:00 p.m.  The highlight of the concert will be =
Bach Cantata # 131 "Out of the Depths" performed in German by the =
Chancel Choir, soloists and chamber orchestra under the direction of =
Judith Higbee.  Also on the program will be performances by organist =
Robert Day as well as handbells, children and youth choirs.  The concert =
is free and open to the public.

In addition Church of the Saviour will mount an Exhibit of 3-dimensional =
leather pictures by artist Don Smrekar.  The exhibit will be in place =
November 12-19 and a Leather Tooling Workshop will be held on Saturday, =
November 18 from 1:30 -4:00 p.m.  Enrollment  for the workshop is =
limited and advance registration is required. Mr. Smrekar will =
demonstrate the technique of stretching the leather and then adding =
plugs to raise the leather picture.  Participants will discover the fun =
of leathercrafting with the basics of carving, stamping and finishing.  =
The $40 fee includes tools and materials and entitles participants to =
the workshop and a Leathercraft kit which includes tools, leather, book =
and everything to make a wallet, ID case and key pocket. =20
