The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company welcomes the holiday season with Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright Paula Vogelâs The Long Christmas Ride Home. On an ill-fated drive to Christmas dinner at grandparentsâ house, a Man (Ron Cuirie) and Woman (Teresa McDonough) trigger an event that will forever change the fates of their three children, Rebecca (Heather Irwin), Stephen (Ryan McMullen), and Claire (Sara Cutlip). Even the sermon from a Unitarian Minister (Tom C. Barnes) cannot fix the unrest in this family. In this compelling drama, the lines between past, present, and future are blurred as we learn that all families are not cookie-cutter perfect.
Directed by Sean McConaha, The Long Christmas Ride Home wraps up the inaugural season at BNC into a holiday treat only the Seans could provide.
âHAUNTING AND STUNNING!â
âFull of adventurous theatricality. The Long Christmas Ride Home strikes just the right chord.â
- Michael Kuchwara, Associated Press
