What if a minor character in A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Bob Cratchit, suddenly
took center stage and couldn’t stand the emotional sap around her? Find out in
Durang’s parody, Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge.

The cast features Pam Matthews as the sarcastic, disgruntled Mrs. Cratchit who
spends the majority of the play trying to throw herself off of London Bridge in
an effort to get away from her husband Bob Cratchit (Dave Holmes), crippled
child, Tiny Tim (Amanda Farinelli) and enormous daughter Little Nell (Katie
Withnell). Of course, her way is constantly thwarted as her story intertwines
with The Ghost’s (Heather Hersh) plan to reform Ebenezer Scrooge (Bob
Kenderes). Throw in the jolly Fezziwigs, played by Joe McIntyre and Maggie
Majercik, and an alternative Mrs. Cratchit, played by Heather Leporati, and you
have a twisted comedy that is sure to lead in a thousand directions, none of
them what Dickens intended.

The Royalton Players present Durang’s parody December 1st, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th
at 8pm, a matinee on the Saturday the 2nd at 2pm, and a special show time on

Lodge, 6320 Royalton Road in North Royalton. It is located on Route 82 across
from the Royalton Arby’s. Tickets are $12 adults and $10 students with a $10
senior price at the Saturday matinee. For reservations please call (216) 556-
