Yes, the holidays are about being together. CHRISTmas is about JESUS the CHRIST and people try to ignore him completely on that day. Without JESUS the CHRIST there would be no CHRISTmas.

Example of how a group of people ignore JESUS

I went into Bedford - Pat Catan's (440) 786-7402 18111 Rockside Rd. Bedford, OH 44146 yesterday. I was followed from the time I walked into the store until the time I walked out. The Security guard even stood at the front while I checked out. I was in the store for about an hour. I was looking for something for a project...being a Black female I get tired of always being followed when I go into a store. It was sort of warm yesterday so I left my coat in the car. Where did they think I would hide something. Since I am a creative person, I look at how things should be put together. Which means...I will not just go into the store and pick up the first thing I see on the shelf.

I covered the whole store and never saw ONE Nativity Scene. When I left the store, I was not shocked because ...if someones policy is to harass Black people and follow them around when they are doing nothing wrong, then Why would I expect them to even know who JESUS is or why he dead on the Cross. But this is CHRISTmas time... SO I should have seen one Nativity Scene inside of the store. I saw Santa Claus, Snowmen and reindeer.

Santa Claus, snowmen, or any reindeer did not die and raise up again for my sins. It was JESUS who healed my eyes. No doctor wanted to touch me...they were scared that my employer would take them to court. After months of pain in my eyes and other problems, the people at my father's church prayed to JESUS on my behave...One day I was sitting down and my eyes started feeling strange...and I was healed. I found out about 2 months later that the people at my father's church prayed for me at the same time and day that my eyes were healed. JESUS is my friend and I don't like it when people try to hurt my friends.

I love JESUS. The holiday is for him at least acknowledge CHRIST in CHRISTmas.

  Lovingly,

  L y n n e t t e Howard

What so many don't realize during the holidays, is that it's not about who can buy the most expensive gift, or what kind of cool things you're gonna get for Christmas. It's truly about being together with loved ones and sharing that day with warmth and kindness.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great feeling to find somebody that special gift nobody even thought of getting them. The type of gift that they will remember for the rest of their lives, but what we all fail to realize at times is that being with the ones you love is the greatest gift you can give or get.

Think about it for a minute, think back to the days of your favorite holiday memories, remember how warm and right things felt? They didn't feel that way because you finally got a red rider bee-bee gun, or a new etch-a-sketch, (personally I always preferred the Rock-em Sock-em Robots, go figure) anyway, it was because we were with the people we loved that loved us. It was smelling that holiday dinner that only mom could make, permeating through the house.
  Take for instance....
For years my older brother kept thinking he was getting over on my mom because he always swiped a piece of turkey after she pulled it out of the oven, he'd sit there laughing because we didn't get any as he ate it with glee.
That is until one Christmas day as my brother dangled the piece of turkey over his mouth and ate it like a roman emperor eating grapes, my mom told him...Tommy, you know for years you've been swiping that turkey thinking you were pulling one off on your mother but I figured I'd let you know what you were eating...You're eating the turkey's ass! With that my brother now an adult, spits out the turkey butt and we all finally got the last laugh. Then sat down to a fine Christmas dinner as a family, even the dogs got a plate of turkey on the floor.

We shared stories about growing up together, laughing, eating, and at that time, nothing else in the world mattered, everything was perfect.

So when you get that "Pet Chia", or a shirt so awful you wouldn't be caught dead in it, just remember, it's about being with those people that gave you that horrid gift. Just smile and say, "Oh wow thanks, I can't wait to get home to water this thing!" Or "Man oh man that's a sweet looking shirt, I'll wear it on vacation when I go away"...Then go have another piece of pie and just enjoy that peaceful time...That's Christmas to me anyways.

We here at the M.O.B. INC family would like to wish you and yours the warmest of Holiday greetings. Whether it's Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa you'll be celebrating, may there be peace in your heart and a smile on your face, as you share that time with the ones you love
