Cleveland Public Theatre is looking for Teaching Artists to fill various
positions in our Education Department. =20

=20

CPT's Brick City Theatre works with children ages 5-14 who reside in
Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority estates (low-income housing).
Teaching Artists lead children in creating, producing and performing
original theatrical works.

=20

CPT's STEP (Student Theatre Enrichment Program) works with Cleveland
teens ages 14-19. Teaching Artists serve as collaborators and mentors
through a rigorous training process which results in original
multi-disciplinary performances that are toured to Cleveland city parks
every August.

=20

CPT's Y-Haven Theatre Project is offered in partnership with Y-Haven, a
residential facility for formerly homeless men who are in recovery from
drug and alcohol addiction. Teaching Artists work with the men to
generate original performances that are toured to juvenile centers,
colleges, and treatment facilities in the Greater Cleveland area.

=20

Artists of all disciples (including directors and playwrights) are
encouraged to apply. When responding, please send emails to
edcation at cptonline.org and include a brief statement of experience
working with youth, working with adults in recovery, and/or experience
creating original theatre works. Attach resume.

=20

Most Teaching Artists work on an independent contractor basis and teach
2-5 classes/days per week. Pay ranges from $90-$500 per week based on
number of classes/days, experience, level of responsibility, and
project's special needs. =20
