Male youth who could pass for 14 to 18 years old needed for a good role in a powerful new play, Kara in Black, which plays two evenings, January 26 and 27 in the Shaker-Cleveland Heights, Ohio area. Currently in rehearsal but one actor short. The story is about a high school student, Kara, whose older sister Della has enlisted in the Army and is on her way to Kuwait for the Iraq invasion, and how Kara's friends react to the situation. Comparisons to the Vietnam situation are divulged through the exchanges between two Vietnam vets, and between the vets and some of the kids. The play presents ideas, but doesn't preach or take a position. Very exciting.

Contact Martin Rolfs Massaglia, Director, at 216 789-4930 for more information, rehearsal schedule, etc.

The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company presents the Ohio Premier of Fat Pig, by Neil LaBute. Performances run from January 12 to February 11, Thursday – Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm, and Sunday, January 28 at 8pm, in the Summit ArtSpace Facility, 140 E. Market Street.

All Tickets are $15. All students and seniors are "Pay as You Can" for each show. Two "Blackout Monday" performances, provided for all regional actors and theatre technicians, will be held on January 22 and 29 at 8pm. Tickets are $7.50 for "Blackout Monday" performances. For ticket reservations call the box office at 330.606.5317. "Dinner and a Show" packages are also available through Crave Restaurant. For more information call the box office or visit www.bnctheatre.com.

Tom (Sean Derry) is an attractive executive who falls for Helen (Jenna Messina), a Rubenesque librarian. But when his colleagues, cynical Carter (Tony Weaver) and ex-girlfriend Jeannie (Alanna Romansky) tease and torment Tom about his relationship, will he be able to withstand the peer pressure? LaBute raises provocative questions about true human nature in this hugely entertaining examination of the limits of love and the standards of beauty in today’s thin-obsessed world.

Director, Sean McConaha, welcomes the 2007 Season at The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company with Neil LaBute’s larger than life comedy.

"…the most engaging and unsettling of Mr. LaBute’s plays…"
