WINTER CLASSES OFFERED AT GEAUGA THEATER FOR ALL AGES

The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild will offer classes in drama, technical =
theater and voice for students of all ages.  Registration is on Monday, =
Jan. 22 from 4:00 - 7:00 at the Geauga Theater on Chardon Square.

For the youngest students, ages 4 to 8:
 "Introduction to Theater" with Julie Douglass
 Offered Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:30, Feb. 10 - March 17. This class =
will provide an introduction to basic theater terms, to people and their =
jobs at the theater, simple stage direction and procedures, =
participation in theater "games" and a performance of Mother Goose =
poems.

For students ages 8 - 12:
"Elementary & Middle School Drama" with Angela Miloro
Offered Tuesdays from 4:00 - 6:00, Feb. 13 - March 27. This class is =
open to the beginner or to students with some experience and will =
culminate with a performance.

For teens, ages 12 - 18:
Classes with Patty Osredkar will be offered Mondays from 4:00 - 6:00, =
Feb. 12 - March 19. This class will focus on scene structure, =
characterization and will culminate in the performance of a one-act =
play.

For adults:
Michael Rogan, who starred as the King in the GLTG's 2006 spring musical =
"The King & I," will teach students ages 16 and above on Sundays from =
7:00 - 9:00, Feb. 4 - March 18. The class will train students in the =
Meisen System of Improvisation and will culminate with a performance.

A class in technical theater featuring visiting instructors is planned =
for Saturday mornings in February and March.

The cost for each of the above classes is $75 and scholarship assistance =
is available.

Voice lessons are also available with Christopher Clark, who is degreed =
in choral conducting and has served as music director and instructor at =
the GLTG and at other area arts organizations and schools. The cost is =
$20 per =BD hour lesson, to be scheduled with the instructor.

All classes will be held at the Geauga Theater on Chardon Square except =
for adult drama and voice, which will be held in the GLTG Annex across =
from the theater. Registration for all classes will be held Jan. 22 and =
after that time, registration is by phone by calling the GLTG office at =
(440) 285-7701. Enrollments are restricted for most classes to provide =
students with an optimal learning environment.
