Subject AUDITIONS: AFRICAN COMMUNITY THEATRE

The African Community Theatre of Kent State University will be holding
auditions for their spring production. The play "Long Time Since
Yesterday" by P.J. Gibson is a potent drama depicting the public and
private emotional struggles and bruises that six African American
women have kept hidden for most of their lives. The play looks at the
lives of contemporary women who survived the turmoil of the sixties and
seventies and their internal struggles in the eighties. This is a play
about the relationships and interrelationships amongst women. The play
has six African American women ages 25-45 and two African American
children ages 10-12. Actors are asked to prepare a 2-5 minute
monologue. Auditions will be held on February 1 and 2 from 6:00-8:00PM
and February 3 from 12:00PM-2:00pm in the African Community Theatre on
the 2nd floor of Oscar Ritchie Hall on Terrace Dr. on the Kent State
University Campus. For additional information please call Dr. Fran
