    Halida Dinova, Russian-born Concert Pianist, will play a recital of
works including Liszt Two Legends: St. Francis of Assisi-The Sermon to the
Birds-- and St. Francis of Paola Walking on the Waters; Chopin Preludes Opus
28; Mozart Sonata in D, and works of Mendelssohn and Debussy at Fairmount
Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd (at Coventry), Cleveland Heights,
on Sunday, January 28, at 4:00 PM.There is a free-will offering, and a
reception follows.

          

 Pianist Halida Dinova has performed and recorded with Europe's finest
orchestras. A champion of rare and interesting 20th-century repertoire from
her native Russia and America, she is known for her virtuosity and exquisite
interpretations. Born in Kazan, Russia, Dinova studied at the Kazan
Conservatory and at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg. She
also holds an Artist Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music and now
resides in Cleveland. A prize-winner of several international competitions,
she has performed in North America, Russia, Mexico, Canada, the United
Kingdom, Italy, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Turkey and Argentina. She has
recorded with Chandos, Cantius Classics, and NAXOS, and has received
critical acclaim for her recordings of Scriabin.
