Lyrics by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick

Adam-cocky, bungling, and loveable - just can't make sense of the newest
creature in the garden - this talking animal who calls herself "she."

As effusive as she is naive, Eve is the smarter of the pair, perhaps because
she trusts her uncanny intuitive abilities. The two were made for each other
(literally). However, trouble brews when, attired in a smoking jacket and
weskit, the suave Serpent seduces Eve into tasting the forbidden fruit. *
