The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company presents the Ohio Premier of Red Light Winter, by 2006 Pulitzer Prize Finalist, Adam Rapp.

College best friends, Davis (Mark Mayo) and Matt (Doug Kusak), spend a wild, unforgettable evening in Amsterdam’s Red Light District with Christina (Laurel Johnson), a French prostitute hired by Davis to help end Matt’s 3-year sexual drought. A year later, they find their lives have changed forever when their extraordinary love triangle plays out in astonishing ways in the East Village. Examining the outrageous paradoxes and cruel realism of romantic attraction, Red Light Winter is a tortured story of unrequited love that bristles with hostility, attitude, and raw heartache.

Director Sean McConaha, explores a play of sexual intrigue that scrutinizes the countless and irrational ways we seek to fill the void inside of us.

“Red Light Winter is full of 180-degree turns and sexually charged surprises.”
-	Chris Jones (Variety)

“Spellbinding and haunting…Rapp…is the real thing – a poet in the grand tradition of ‘la vie bohème.’ Not by accident is his story full of homages to the erotically charged novels of Henry Miller; the generation-shaping Godard film, Breathless; the enticing chansons of French cabaret artists; and the homegrown debauchery and heartache of Tom Waits.”
-	Hedy Weiss (Chicago Sun-Times)

“An arresting study of melancholic triangulation and obsessions dashed…Shrewd about the way certain male friendships exist on the knife edge of disaster”
-	Michael Phillips (Chicago Tribune)

Performances run from February 23 to March 25, Thursday – Saturday at 8pm, every Sunday at 3pm, and Sunday, March 11 at 8pm, in the Summit ArtSpace Facility, 140 E. Market Street, Akron OH, 44308.
