Director Sarah May and Beck Center will hold open auditions for Bryony
Lavery's award-winning psychological drama FROZEN by appointment on Monday, Feb.
26th and Wednesday, Feb. 28th, beginning at 6PM each evening. (Please note---NO
Auditions on Tuesday, Feb. 27th.)

In this powerful play three characters' ( a convicted child-killer, the
mother of one of his victims, and a psychiatrist who studies serial killers) lives
intersect as they struggle to unlock their own paralyzed emotions and find
understanding and forgiveness.

This demanding script, inspired by several famous child-murder cases in the
English Midlands, requires three mature and experienced actors for the
following roles:

Ralph: The killer--a damaged person. British working class, a loner,
obsessive-compulsive. An ordinary bloke who could be inconspicuous, ages from roughly
25 to 50 in the play.

Nancy: The mother. British suburban, vulnerable. In the play she ages from
roughly 33 to 55, and goes through all the stages of denial and grief. She finds
her own strength, and ultimately, forgiveness.

Agnetha: A New York psychiatrist who specializes in the study of serial
killers. Single and professional, she comes to England to interview Ralph. She
wears her job like armor to conceal her own emotional baggage. 30's to 40's.

The show will be directed by Sarah May, and will run in Beck's intimate
Studio Theatre from June 1st through June 24th. Actors should be willing to
participate in a few post-show discussions on capital punishment, pathological
behavior, and forgiveness. Rehearsals will begin in late April/Early May.

All actors should prepare a short (Under two minutes) contemporary monologue,
and will be asked to read a short passage from the script. (Supplied at the
auditions)

Equity and Non-Equity will be seen BY APPOINTMENT on Monday, Feb. 26th
beginning at 6PM , and Wednesday, Feb. 28th beginning at 6PM.

You may call the Beck Center Box Office beginning Monday, Feb. 19th at 11AM
to sign up for an appt. slot.

Box Office is 216-521-2540.
