The results produced by Rodgers and Hammerstein speak for themselves. =
There
are countless reasons this play is such an influential work, but among =
the
most important is that it is a truly integrated musical. The songs and
dances grow out of the characters and their emotions, rather=20

than just fulfilling the need for singing and dancing in a musical. Many =
of
the songs in this play, including Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, The =
Surrey
With the Fringe On Top, and People Will Say We=92re in Love, are a =
permanent
part of the American musical library and are instantly recognized all =
over
the world.=20

Congratulations and best wishes to our Square Peg friend, Tosca Rolf, as =
she
makes her first appearance in a KSU-Stark theatre production!
