The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute
"Where art meets business"
We are getting ready to launch the Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI)
on March 5th. Since its founding in 2003, the AEI program has provided
business training to more than 200 Northeast Ohio artists.
AEI exposes artists involved in performing, visual, music, and graphics to
the basic business skills they need to thrive financially. We give
participants direct access to premier business practitioners and artists
throughout Northeast Ohio to share their specialized knowledge with the
working artist. Topics include everything from finding your market and
price set, writing a business plan, understanding taxes and branding. This
class also serves as a great opportunity to hear local artists discuss
their paths to finding financial security while preserving artistic passion.
It is a great opportunity to network and make new connections within the
arts and business communities.
We have trained artists at all levels of their careers from students to
established professionals. The diverse envoronment allows for an in depth
discussion on local resources as well as personal experiences.
