RED LIGHT WINTER HOT AT BANG AND CLATTER

I never imagined I=E2=80=99d thoroughly enjoy watching the characterization=20=
of a total asshole unfold onstage, but boy does actor Mike Mayo take the cak=
e as the brutal Davis in Adam Rapp=E2=80=99s Red Light Winter at the Bang an=
d the Clatter.

Mayo=E2=80=99s just so good at being bad.

After seeing BNC=E2=80=99s mind-boggling production of Rapp=E2=80=99s two-ch=
aracter Blackbird last year, I as well as other audience members were hungry=
 for more of his work. The Akron theater more than delivers with this three-=
person drama, which originally was produced in Chicago in 2005 and played Of=
f Broadway in 2006.
