At 8pm tonight in Cleveland Heights' Alcazar Ballroom Great Lakes Theater
Festival opens Free Touring Production of *Before the Storm. *

The production features *a touring company of five actors* and is *written
and directed by GLTF Director of Education, Daniel Hahn *.  The *Before the
Storm* tour begins* March 9, continues through April 12 *and is designed* *=
to
support the Festival's upcoming main stage production of William
Shakespeare's *The Tempest**.  *

*Before the Storm **explores the mysteries of what might have happened on
Shakespeare's charmed island before Prospero summoned forth The Tempest.   =
*In
this imagined prequel to Shakespeare's masterpiece, Princess Miranda and th=
e
sprightly Ariel struggle to transform the monstrous Caliban from a beastly
creature into a redeemed hero, with the aid of a series of Shakespeare's
greatest scenes which magically spring to life from Prospero's enchanted
book. A captivating examination of whether or not art truly holds the power
to transform, *Before the Storm* is designed for audiences of all backgroun=
d
and ages. *This Surround event is free* and open to the public at all
non-school venues.* *

*The five-actor touring ensemble features Cleveland actors Anne McEvoy, Fay=
e
Hargate, Geoff Knox, Laura Mielcarek and Michael Regnier.*  The design trio
of* Joshua Frachiseur (scenic design), Melanie Boeman (costume design) and
Richard Ingraham (sound design) *complete the play's production team.

*Before the Storm** is a sixty-minute program that includes an introduction
and post-performance discussion.*  *All non-school performances of Before
