Although I respect "Mr. Ymous's" perfect right to his opinion, I think it's
unfortunate that he doesn't feel confident enough in them to sign his name.
Especially when he bills himself as a "reviewer", rather than, as his
profile suggests, a casual observer.
That being said, I saw Camelot last night and thought it was a lovely piece
of theater. True, the cast was young, the stage was sparse. And I
wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Ymous that Ms. Bloser was wonderful as
Guinevere, but I we part ways on his depiction of Mr. McCleary. I thought
his voice was rich and utterly conveyed the mood and intent of the play,
especially in the second act. His Arthur's relationship with Guinevere was
believable and touching. His ending monologue made me teary-eyed. And I
heard that sentiment repeated from more than one theatergoer around me.
Overall, I offer my kudos to Al White and his cast. Good job!
