Former Cleveland Comedians
Return Home To Premiere Their Film
My Name is Wallace the Cleveland International Film
Festival

My Name is Wallace is a sweet and touching comedy,
produced by two talented, native Clevelanders, David
Lawrence and Bob Pondillo. People in Northeast Ohio
will remember both men from their high-profile, witty
radio programs at WGAR and as actors and producers of
the Cleveland Comedy Company TV shows in the 70s and
80s.

David Lawrence is now a Los Angeles-based actor, voice
talent, video game producer and host of the network
radio program, “The David Lawrence Show”, heard on XM
Satellite Radio and AM stations across the country.
Pondillo has evolved from “The Real Bob James” at
1220/WGAR to Dr. Robert Pondillo, professor of
Communications at Middle Tennessee State University.

Lawrence is excited to be returning to Northeast Ohio
for the Cleveland premier of My Name is Wallace, which
will be screened at the Cleveland International Film
Festival, Monday, March 19th, as part of a short film
package at 4:45pm. He is available for in-person
interviews on that Monday, or via phone from Los
Angeles prior to the festival.

My Name is Wallace is about Wallace Waverly who is a
socially challenged man who has lived with his mother
all his life. She dies, and Wallace finds himself
alone, rattling around in Mom's big, old Victorian
home. Looking for love and affection, he browses
through the personals ads, and sees this: “Lonely?
Need Love? Call 1-900-HOT BABES.” Wallace does, dials
the number and begins a life-changing conversation
with Tiffany, the 900 sex-line operator he encounters.

My Name is Wallace is being shown in 30 film festivals
in the US, Canada, Italy, India and the UK. The film
will be expanded to feature length either through a
traditional Hollywood film producer or an independent
production company. My Name is Wallace is unrated, but
can be considered a PG-13 movie, appropriate for young
adults on up.
