The rumors you've heard are true, there will be no Something Dada shows this Saturday, March 17th. (There will be a show on Friday night at 8 PM, so be sure to get your reservations.) Why won't we be doing a show that night? Certainly you've figured it out by now, since March 17th is circled on so many calendars. Why of course, it's the birthday of James Bridger, Mountain Man! Most of us know only that Mr. Bridger was the first white man to see Great Salt Lake in what is now Utah. However, his accomplishments go far beyond that. He and Louis Vasquez opened the self-congratulatory Fort Bridger on the Oregon Trail, until those pesky Mormons shut it down (probably too much coffee). In honor of his birthday, Dadas will be offering blacksmithing workshops, and recreating William H. Ashley's Missouri River expedition of 1822 (let us know if you want further details).

Be sure to get your reservations for Friday night's show through our web site at http://www.somethingdada.com, calling 216.696.4242 or e-mailing info at somethingdada.com. And long live the memory of James Bridger, Mountain Man extraordinaire!
