Job Description

Reports to:      Executive Director

Status:             Part Time-varies 25-35 hours per week, Exempt.

Hire date:         Immediate

Description:     DANCECleveland has an immediate opening for a creative and
experienced individual to shape our marketing and audience development
activities.

The Audience Development and Marketing Director will be responsible for
leading DANCECleveland's marketing efforts for 5-7 performances each season,
working to build new audiences for our performances and serving as the
primary liaison to our subscriber and patron base.  

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

Marketing:  Create marketing plans and timetables for each performance on
our season, work with our marketing and public relations consultants, edit
all marketing materials and conceive and implement all outreach marketing
efforts, including mailings, poster and postcard distribution and e-mail
blasts.

Audience Development:  Lead our focused efforts to build audiences for our
performances, including working with community groups, leading group sales
efforts and developing and implementing creative outreach efforts.

Patron Liaison:  Serve as the contact person for our patron and subscriber
base which requires strong skills in customer service and communications.
Responsibilities include; ticketing, order taking and patron contact.   

This position is deadline driven so the ebb and flow of work will vary
throughout the year with the heaviest periods being in the weeks leading up
to performances and prior to the launch of our season. 

Qualifications:The desired candidate will be a creative results-oriented
individual, who is highly organized and works well with people.
Communication skills are especially important, as is the ability to
proficiently use technology resources.  

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in arts marketing
or a related field is required.

Compensation:           $20K-$28K based on experience 

(salaried but without health benefits)
