A group of people who live and work in a rundown waterfront district lea=
rn the neighborhood is being razed for a soccer stadium and a series of =
upscale shops. The young developer can't understand their decision to fi=
ght the destruction of the funky old bar, the local food bank, and the s=
econdhand clothing store but the district is where THESE PEOPLE hide out=
 from the little failures in their own lives. Will they sell out? Or wil=
l they stop the development? They have to reach out to each other in new=
 ways, and what "develops" is better in the long run than the soccer sta=
dium.
