*IRISH MUSICIAN NOEL LENAGHAN IN CONCERT AT BEACHLAND BALLROOM*

Noel Lenaghan, the noted traditional Irish musician, singer, song-writer,
and entertainer, returns to Cleveland after a 10 year absence to perform at
the Beachland Ballroom, Friday, April 13, 2007 at 8pm. Tickets are $10 for
the long-awaited concert. www.beachlandballroom.com

Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Noel was one of the most popular Iris=
h
musicians performing in the Cleveland area at venues such as Tim Ryan's Pub
and Fagan's in the Flats.

Noel has been described as "one of Irish traditional music's best
all-rounders." His rich voice has graced the airs and stages of the world
for three decades. 'He is one of the few who covers the full spectrum of
Irish music with the flute, mandolin, tin-whistle and guitar within his
creative grasp.

His repertoire includes traditional songs in English and Irish and although
he has a huge body of tunes from the reservoir of Irish traditional music,
his performance reflects his northern background but also includes
selections from Galway, Donegal, and Mayo

While Noel is a respected flute teacher in Galway, he primarily uses the
mandolin to accompany his songs.

In the past, he has formed and recorded with such groups as *Rakish Paddy*,
*Clumsy Lovers*, *The Rambling Boys of Pleasure*, the Cleveland-based *Easy
and Free*, and the innovative *Druid Soul Band*.

Born in Belfast in 1954 Noel was heavily influenced by the musical
renaissance that took place during the 60's and 70's in Ireland. The ground
breaking work of the Mc Peake family, The Dubliners, Margaret Barry, The
Clancy Brothers, Planxty and Dick Gaughan all had a profound impact on his
musical development.

Noel released his first solo cd, *No Trouble At All*, to a full-capacity
audience at the R=F3is=EDn Dubh in Galway in mid-summer 2003. He is current=
ly
recording his long-awaited second album in association with Long Eared Owl
Productions.
