[NEohioPAL]Dancers needed at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire

                     The Great Lakes Medieval Faire
     Will be holding its' final round of auditions for the 2007 season on
           Saturday March 31,10am - 3pm, Fight Audition: 3pm - 5pm
               and Sunday April 1,10am - 4pm
            -at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire grounds in Geneva

           We are still looking for men and women of all ages to fill many
varying roles. Ms. Christine A. Prince, the choreographer for
the faire, is especially in need of individuals with an
interest or background in dance whom would like to learn and
perform Medieval and Rennaissance dance techniques.

For all volunteers cast in any role, free improvisation and stage combat
training will be provided by director Mr. John Davis.

John Davis’ Bio
Prior to taking up his sword as two-thirds of the comic sword-fighting duo
Hack and Slash, John performed extensively at Renaissance Festivals
throughout the nation for over a decade; over five thousand performances
in fifteen countries.
As an actor, singer, and fight choreographer, John's favorite roles and
projects include: the title role in Jesus Christ Superstar, The Acafellas,
Cyrano De Bergerac, The Fights of Romeo and Juliet, the Purple
Pumpernickel Stunt Show, the Perils of Emily Stunt Show, the Vile McNasty
Stunt Show and the Maryland Renaissance Festival's Human Chess Matches
(which he directed for seven years). Other performances include the Folger
Shakespeare Library, Greenbriar Resort, Armed Forces Entertainment,
Birmingham Museum of Art, Metroplitan Arts Club, and the Alabama
Shakespeare Festival. He has made many national radio and television
appearances including he Today Show, Deco Drive, Good Morning Atlanta, and
numerous regional and national broadcasts.

As the Entertainment Director/Fight Director and Stunt Coordinator at the
Florida Renaissance Festival and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival John
has enjoyed teaching hundreds classes in Improvisation, Dialect, Character
Development, Movement and Stage Combat. He restructured the entertainment
programs of these festivals yielding exponential growth. John has been
directing, producing and performing many choreographic projects all over
the U.S for over two decades. John is also a bullwhip and western gunplay
coach. In addition, John is a certified actor combatant with the Society
of American Fight Directors ('96). He has also appeared as an
improvisational comedian at Comedy-Olympics and performed as comic relief
in Celtic Crossroads (starring the Grammy Nominated Rogues of Scotland).

John Most recently had the honor of being a guest instructor at the
International Order of the Sword and Pen’s 2007 Paddy Crean Workshop at
The Banff Centre for the Arts in Alberta, Canada.
