A day of live theater examining the death penalty

During the month of April, the ACLU of Ohio is presenting two plays that
take a critical look at the death penalty - Clarence Darrow: The Search for
Justice and Lucasville: The Untold Story of a Prison Uprising.  

Clarence Darrow: The Search for Justice tells the story of one of America's
most famous lawyers and civil libertarians.  Forever famous for his work in
the Scopes "Monkey" Trial, Darrow also fought against racism, social
injustice, and the death penalty, saving over 100 men from execution.   

Lucasville: The Untold Story of a Prison Uprising is a moving and powerful
theater presentation, written with the cooperation of the five men who were
sentenced to death for their alleged roles in the 1993 uprising that rocked
the maximum security prison in Lucasville, Ohio.  Today - fourteen years
after the uprising - these five men are still awaiting execution, even
though evidence has been uncovered suggesting that they are innocent.  

These riveting plays are coming to Cleveland on Saturday, April 28.  Both
performances will be held in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood at
the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, 2592 West 14th Street.
Clarence Darrow begins at 2:00 p.m. and Lucasville begins at 7:30 p.m.   

This is an exciting opportunity to see live theater about an important
social justice issue and raise awareness about the faults of the death
penalty system.  

Tickets are $15 for each show (or $25 for both shows), and $12 for each show
for students & seniors (or $20 for both shows). No one will be turned away
for inability to pay. Ticket proceeds fund the plays. To purchase tickets
