The Scriveners, in association with Cleveland Public Theater, will hold open 
auditions at CPT Monday and Tuesday, April 16th and 17th at 7:00 PM for 
"Saturday Confessions/A Priest's Tale."

The play takes place on a Saturday afternoon as a beleaguered priest with 
somewhere else to be tries to get rid of a procession of most unusual confessors. 
"Saturday Confessions/A Priest's Tale" will be performed late night on June 
8, 9, 15 and 16 at CPT.

Men's roles (ages 25-55):

The Priest, who is late for his one year old son's birthday party.
Roger, a Protestant who wants absolution because he thinks he's got a fatal 
disease.
Donald, a lawyer who thinks the world revolves around him.
Archie, a salesman with an explosive secret---or so he claims.

Women's roles (ages 21-55)

Larissa, an eastern European with a unique way of dealing with a philandering 
husband.
Maggie, the young mother of the priest's child.
Maria, a young sexpot who "gets around."

Child's role (age 10-12)

A young girl making her first confession but can't think of any sins she's 
committed.

All should come prepared to read from the script.

"Saturday Confessions/A Priest's Tale" is directed by playwright and 
performer Gary Webster with assistance from noted independent filmmaker William 
Alexander ("Shades," "Dead Silent.") The play is written by the Scriveners.
