CAMEO, the Cooperative Alliance of Medina Entertainment Organizations,
announces an audition workshop Tuesday, April 17, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at
the Medina Performing Arts Center (Route 3/Weymouth Road). This informative
workshop, "Getting the Role," will be presented by the director of CAMEO's
summer production of OKLAHOMA!, Bill Hoffman, who is a veteran actor,
director, and past Director of Education for The Cleveland Playhouse. Topics
Bill will cover include: the entrance, the monologue, the song, attitude,
scene work, cold readings, headshots, resumes and more. The actor's/singer's
audition is one of the most essential aspects of the professional
performer's training and experience, and Hoffman will provide attendees with
many "do's" and "don'ts." Have a prepared audition piece or one- to
two-minute monologue? Bring it along. Registration is open to teens and
