Development Coordinator
Job Description

Location:  Youngstown, Ohio
Type: Full Time
Supervisor: Managing Director
Experience Level: Minimum 1-2 years experience in development in a non-profi=
t setting or sales role with comparable tasks.  Experience in one or more ar=
eas of development preferred including; foundation & government grants writi=
ng and administration, major donor support, corporate support, special event=
s, direct mail, communications, and database management.
Education:  College degree preferred, but not required.
Salary:  Commission based on monthly and annual funding, with salary options=

Job Responsibilities The Development Coordinator will work closely with the=20=
Managing Director.  The position will play a significant role in supporting=20=
the organization=E2=80=99s current major multi-year fundraising and growth o=
bjectives.  Specific responsibilities include:=20
Identifying, cultivating and managing relationships with current and prospec=
tive donors;=20
Development of strategies to expand and diversify funding sources;=20
Coordinate grant-writing (research, proposal writing, reporting) projects to=
 government foundations, and corporate funders.=20
Management of fundraising databases & tracking systems, including individual=
 donors; grants and contract administration; special events and other develo=
pment functions;=20
Creating collateral fundraising materials and executing direct mail campaign=
s;=20
Planning, implementing, and coordinating special events;=20
Developing processes for donor recognition;=20
=20

xternal partners, and board talents and time.  Familiarity with boards of di=
