The Cleveland Play House and Great Lakes Theatre Festival announce their
annual open auditions, scheduled for Monday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 1
from 10AM to 5PM at the Cleveland Play House, 8500 Euclid Avenue.

Anyone who wishes to audition is invited to do so, though the auditions will
be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call 216 795 7000
x967 starting Monday, April 23 at 10AM. Leave your name, your phone number,
your preferred day, and whether you would prefer a morning or afternoon
appointment. You will receive a call back with your appointment time. Please
be patient, especially the first day, if you don't receive that call back in
a timely fashion. We will respond to everyone who calls.

For the audition, you will be given three minutes to do as you wish. Most
people split the time between two contrasting monologues, one classical and
one contemporary. You are also welcome to sing. If you would like piano
accompaniment, please schedule your appointment for the afternoon.

The theatres will not see children under 18. Each theatre will announce
auditions for its respective Christmas presentation at a later time.

The auditions are being generously facilitated by the Cleveland Theatre
Collective and, as has been the case in the past, artistic directors from
many other professional theatres in the area will also be invited to attend.
