BABY Opens Tonight at Cassidy Theatre

Parma Heights, Ohio =E2=80=93 BABY, the Tony-award nominated musical about =
three expectant couples opens tonight at the Cassidy Theatre.=20

BABY tells the story of three couples expecting a baby and their varied but=
 familiar reactions to their pregnancies.  =E2=80=9CAnyone can relate to th=
is show whether they have children or not=E2=80=9D says director Trinidad S=
nider.  =E2=80=9CWe all know someone who has gone through those nine
months of incredible changes.  Having just recently been through pregnancy =
myself,I wanted to share some of the incredible feelings and experiences th=
at come with having a baby.  Obviously this is the perfect musical to do th=
at because it tells these stories with heart and humor.  It will appeal to =
every person out there.=E2=80=9D=20

With a book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard =
Maltby,Jr., BABY focuses on Liz and Danny,  students who have just moved in=
 together, athletic Pam and her husband, Nick, a sports instructor, who hav=
e had some trouble conceiving and Arlene, already the mother of three grown=
 daughters, who is unsure of what to do, and her husband Alan who is thrill=
ed with the thought of a new baby.
Throughout the show, these characters experience the emotional stresses and=
 triumphs,the desperate lows and the comic highs, that accompany the antici=
pation and arrival of a baby.  Cassidy's BABY stars=20
Jared Sampson, Lara Mainier, Bob Stoesser, Alicia Fogal, Tom Castro,Juliann=
e Kurdila with Jacob Shafer, Georgia Muttillo, Jason Uzl, Sara E. Tackett, =
Mark Baldarelli, Caitlin Lewins, Mara Prucha and Joshua Peterson.  Musical =
Direction is by Brad Wyner.

BABY runs at the Cassidy Theatre April 20th through May 6th.  Friday and Sa=
turday shows are at 8p and Sunday matinees are at 3pm.  Tickets are availab=
le by calling the Cassidy box office at (440) 842-4600.  Tickets are $20 fo=
r adults and $15 for students and senior citizens.   MasterCard and Visa ar=
e accepted.  Cassidy Theatre is located in the Greenbrier Commons, 6200 Pea=
