to participate in 2007!

For two weeks this summer Northeast Ohio will come together for a =
festival of theatre, spoken word, performance and community events, =
raising awareness and raising our voices to end violence against women =
and girls.

Festival is June 17-July 1.

Saturday, April 21   Rape Crisis Center of Medina & Summit Counties =
Presents the 2nd Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

10:00 a.m.  Registration on the 1st floor of the Polsky building at The =
University of Akron.

11:00 a.m. Opening ceremonies

Men from Akron and the surrounding community will walk one mile in =
women's high-heeled shoes through downtown Akron to protest rape, sexual =
assault and gender violence, Proceeds from the event will benefit the =
Rape Crisis Center of Medina & Summit Counties.

Participants are asked to obtain a minimum of $20 in sponsorships.=20

Roosevelt High School

An open mic/monologue evening about violence against women.  Students =
and staff will talk about their own experiences with violence and may =
perform monologues or performance art about the issue.  Counselors will =
be available for performer and audience support.  Donations will be =
taken for admittance and  concessions.=20

Proceeds benefit UTVSNEO and Kent women's shelters.
