IDA PORRIS TO LEAD MUSICAL THEATER DANCE WORKSHOP ON MAY 5

   On Saturday, May 5, Church of the Saviour will host "Musical Theater =
Through the Decades," a dance workshop under the direction of dance=20

educator Ida Porris. Sponsored by Arts in the Cathedral, the workshop =
runs from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and is open to the public.=20

Registration is $20 for adults, $10 for teens 14 and older, and group =
rates are available by calling in advance. Reservations are due by May =

321-8880. The workshop will be at Church of the Saviour, 2537 Lee Road =
in Cleveland Heights, one block north of Fairmount Blvd.

A Cleveland native, Ida Porris is a graduate of Ohio State University's =
Dance Performance Program and has performed nationally with musical =
touring companies based in New York City. She has choreographed for =
local professional dance companies, theatrical productions including =
"Stompin' at the State" and Playhouse Square, as well as amateur =
companies, community and high school theater programs, and show choirs.=20

Porris has served on the Ohio Arts Council as a dance specialist for =
school systems, and is currently a faculty member and dance educator at =
Laurel School in Shaker Heights.=20
