About the play:
Two children, each looking for answers about their families, are locked
in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame overnight. There, in the dark halls of
the museum, they uncover mysteries of rock and roll, urban legends, and
find a mysterious man who may hold the key to what they are looking for.

About the Playwright:
David Hansen has been around the Cleveland theatre scene for over
fifteen years as an actor, director, and writer. Some of his original
works include Bummer, This Vicious Cabaret, Cole Cuts, and The Gulf at
Dobama Theater. His original play The Vampyres has appeared both at
Dobama Theater as well as Cleveland Public Theatre. He was the Artistic
Director and founder of The Guerilla Theater Company, The Night Kitchen
at Dobama Theater and Bad Epitaph Theater Company. His one-man play I
Hate This has received critical praise all over the country, including a
Top Ten Play in 2003 from The Plain Dealer and an Award of Excellence
for Solo Performance at The New York International Fringe Festival. I
Hate This continues to be performed around the globe.

In addition to the featured writer, there will be readings of In Rep, a
new screenplay by Larry Nehring and Fairy Tale Romance, a one-act play
by Pat Stansbury

The Dark Room is a co-production of Cleveland Public Theatre
(www.cptonline.org <http://www.cptonline.org> ) and The Cleveland
Theatre Collective (www.clevelandtheatre.com
<http://www.clevelandtheatre.com> ). The Dark Room affords emerging and
veteran playwrights the space and resources to develop new works. It
offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or any other written
work in a supportive, yet critical environment.

The Dark Room continues on the first Tuesday of each month. =20

The Dark Room is a place where the writers take center stage and their
work has a chance to grow.=20

If you are interested in being a featured writer at a future Dark Room,
please send a 20- 30 page script along with a short bio, cast
requirements, descriptions of the characters and a synopsis of the
piece. Writers wishing to present during the open mic portion of The
Dark Room may submit shorter works, up to ten pages, in advance of the
event. All submissions should be made to darkroom at cptonline.org.
