COMINGS AND GOINGS AT PLAYHOUSE SQUARE=20

FRIDAY, MAY 18th

-Presented through the Playhouse Square Arts Education Department Launch
residency program-

Cleveland, OH -Dance/Theater Collective is set to premiere Comings and
Goings, a movement-inspired journey through personal and relational
evolution, in the Westfield Insurance Studio Theatre (Idea Center at
Playhouse Square, 1375 Euclid Avenue) on Friday, May 18th at 7:30 PM
with a post-show discussion immediately following. A free presentation
of excerpts from Comings and Goings and post-show discussion is
scheduled for 12:00 pm on the 18th.

Comings and Goings charts the course of change, both as an individual
and in relationships. Act I, "Coming of Age," is a journey through nine
decades of a woman's life, interwoven with dancing and dreams. Chris
DiCello and Lynn Deering perform this dance/theater piece written and
choreographed by DiCello. "I developed the language through interviews
with dozens of women of various ages," explains DiCello. "More than any
other work I've created, this truly has something for everyone."

=20

Act II, "Travelogue," is choreographed and performed by long-time
collaborators Joe Booth and Lynn Deering. Ballroom dance styles are
used to create vignettes that span the extraordinary range of emotions
present in the ever-shifting roles of partners-for-life. The vignettes
are connected by interludes of projections that evoke the silent film
era.=20

and Goings, Dance/Theater Collective receives rent-free use of the
