The 2007 Cleveland Play House Benefit Dubbed
"A Monheit Night"
Young jazz vocalist Jane Monheit to perform at annual gala

CLEVELAND (May 8, 2007) -- The Cleveland Play House's annual benefit will
take place on Saturday, June 2, 2007 in the Bolton Theatre at The Play House
complex at 8500 Euclid Avenue. This year's event, celebrating the theatre's
91st consecutive season, will feature the musical entertainment of jazz
vocalist Jane Monheit.

The benefit is separated into two "acts." Act I begins at 6:30 pm with
cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and ends at 10:30 with a grand dessert buffet
in the Bolton Theatre lobby. Jane Monheit and her five-piece band will play
in the lobby of the Drury Theatre, and dinner will take place on the Bolton
Stage at 9:00, with a live auction following dinner.

Act II begins at 10:30 pm in The Cleveland Play House paint shop. This part
of the evening offers a behind-the-scene dance party, with entertainment
provided by Afterthought and The NuSoul Band. Guests will enjoy
complimentary beer, wine coffee and desserts, along with a cash bar.

Jane Monheit has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald and Diana Krall, but she
forges her own path to stardom with her delicate phrasing and uncanny
ability to capture the meaning and essence of a song.
Her fifth album, Taking a Chance on Love, rose to the number one spot on
Billboard's traditional jazz chart and entered Billboard's top 100 pop chart
the first week it was released.
		Albums
		2000 . Never Never Land

2005 . The Very Best of Jane Monheit
		2005 . The Season
		2007 . Surrender
This year's Play House benefit is chaired by Mebby Brown and Maura Kehoe.

"sassy cocktail." Proceeds benefit The Cleveland Play House Annual Fund. For
