ICELAND USA FEATURES LAS VEGAS IN SPRING SHOW

  Take a trip down the strip, the Las Vegas strip, that is. Iceland USA presents “Viva Las Vegas,” an ice show featuring skaters from the Strongsville Skating Club as well as local professional figure skaters.

  This is a golden opportunity to experience the reknowned shows of Vegas—the music, the lights, the glitze and glamour—with the added flair of the ice. Designed, directed and choreographed by professional figure skater Kelly Lynch and a team of dedicated volunteers, “Viva Las Vegas” is an evening of Vegas entertainment one casino at a time, with each number calling to mind a casino theme, from the Venetian to New York New York . Hundreds of volunteer hours have made this show possible, as well as sponsorship from many Cleveland-area businesses. Larger-than-life props and more than 400 costumes make this a must-see event for the whole family.

  A portion of the proceeds will go to Cornerstone of Hope, a grief counseling center in Independence . Cornerstone specializes in offering support for families in need, using creative therapies for adults and children. They also offer education and training for professionals and volunteers.

   “Viva Las Vegas ” opens May 18 and 19 at Iceland USA, 15381 Royalton Road in Strongsville . Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday.  Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for Children 4-10, $12 and $6 at the door. Children 3 and under are free. Table seating on the ice also is available for $150 per table. Tables seat six and include baked goods. A cheese/olive tray and wine are available for an additional charge.
