such as gesture-drawing, perspective, shading, and use of color will be
introduced through short and long poses. Paper, pencils,
colored-pencils, and crayons provided (bring other supplies you'd like

Needlman:</span></font><br style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);">
<span style="color: rgb(204, 102, 0);">Grace Needlman is a senior at
Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights.
She has taken art classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art, The Orange
Art Center, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the
Cleveland Museum of Art. She has also studied with painter, Robert
Raack. During the past year Grace completed an intensive exploration of
portraiture through the Strnad fellowship program at her school. This
year she won silver medals at the National Scholastic Art and Writing
Competition for two figure-paintings, as well as first place at the
Beachwood Juried Art show for a portrait. She has also been awarded
Best in Show, Second place two dimensional art, third place two
dimensional art, and three honorable mentions in past years at Hathaway
Brown's spring art show. Next year Grace will continue to study art,
and much more, at Yale University.</span></p>
