Hear the beat of dancing feet as you travel down 42nd Street in the 2007=20
SELREC Singers' June Extravaganza=E2=80=A6"Spirit of Broadway"!!!

The 36-member strong adult show choir this year salutes Broadway musicals=20
from the past century with numbers including "Do You Hear the People Sing" (=
Les=20
Miserables); "Climb Every Mountain" (Sound of Music); "Tradition" (Fiddler o=
n=20
the Roof); "All that Jazz" (Chicago) and an Andrew Lloyd Webber medley.  The=
=20
group also pays tribute to "newer" musicals including Avenue Q, Hairspray, T=
he=20
Producers, Wicked and Aida. The shows include original sets, creative costum=
es,=20
show-stopping choreography and a five-piece orchestra.

"Spirit of Broadway" will be performed at Brush High School Performing Arts=20
Auditorium located at 4875 Glenlyn Road in Lyndhurst on June 7th, 8th and 9t=
h=20
at 7:30pm. Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 at the door.  Tickets may be=20

Now in its 39th year, the SELREC Singers organization, based in the South=20
Euclid-Lyndhurst area, has male and female members who travel from as far no=
rth=20
as Mentor and as far south as Bainbridge.  Our "Singouts", under the leaders=

of Director R. Scott Posey and talented accompanist Jessica Stewart, have=20
taken us from retirement communities across Ohio to the Allen Theater in Dow=
ntown=20
Cleveland.  Our performance venues have included weddings, luncheons,=20
dinners, awards ceremonies, meetings, country club events, and summer concer=
t series.=20
   =20

The SELREC Singers perform all types of music including pop, jazz, swing,=20
classic, and country as well as the Broadway show tunes which are featured i=
n=20
this year's show.  Our holiday repertoire includes secular selections and=20
seasonal favorites.  =20
