True North Cultural Arts of Avon Lake, known for its fine programs in the arts, both visual and instrumental, as well as choral, announces a summer program in the dance arts with professional instructors, Margaret Holden and Rachel Holden Foore.  Margaret and Rachel will be directing / teaching a 6-week Dance Program starting June17th in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary and Jazz. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Margaret, who has served as State Representative for National Dance Week for several years, has a rich background in the instruction of classical ballet from pre-ballet to professional level.  She has also taught tap, jazz, ballroom, lyrical and character dance. In addition to her teaching, she has done extensive choreography in ballet and theatre dance and has coached ice skaters and gymnasts.  She has directed youth ballet companies in Cleveland and Nashville, TN.   Ms. Holden has planned a six-week summer program in ballet and 
tap.  Margaret also directs the TrueNorth Dance Ensemble.<o:p></o:p>

Rachel Foore has studied for many years, first under the direction of Margaret, and then went on to dance with other teachers, including those at the University of Akron.  She was a former dancer with the modern company, Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre under the direction of Michael Medcalf, where she not only had the opportunity to perform, but studied with many other modern choreographers.  Ms. Foore will be bringing her expertise to students enrolled in the jazz program to TrueNorth.  Rachel also will be teaching core toning for adults and 
teens.  In addition to her studies and performances as a professional dancer, she spent many years in the dance competition field, winning awards for her ballet, tap and jazz, and is forming a competition team for TrueNorth.<o:p></o:p>

1:00-2:00 p.m. Ballet for Beginners (minimum age 7) T, Th, Sat 2:15-3:45 p.m. Ballet Intermediate (T, Th,Sat) 4:00-6:00 p.m. Ballet/Pointe Advanced (T,Th) 6:15-7:45 p.m. Ballet Intermediate (T) 8:00-9:00 p.m. Beginning Teen/Adult Tap (T) (Sat 1-2 p.m.)<o:p></o:p>
