The University Park Development Corporation will present the University =
Park
Art Fair at Grace Park, a one-day fine art and fine craft show and sale =
on
Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 10a.m. =96 6p.m.=A0 This event, held in =
the heart
of the University Park district in downtown Akron, is expected to draw =
more
than 100 artists and 10,000 guests, and will feature ceramics, glass,
wearable art, furniture, drawings & graphics, fiber, jewelry, leather,
metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, watercolor, wood =
art
and more.

In addition, prominent local artist Mark Soppeland will lead a =
large-scale,
community participation project and the Akron Area Arts Alliance and =
Summit
ArtSpace will host a make-and-take booth. There will also be artist
demonstrations, live entertainment, and refreshments at the Summa Health
Systems food and beverage pavilion.=A0 Admission is free.

Area artists are invited to exhibit.=A0 Registration is $75/artist and =
must be
submitted by July 7, 2007.=A0 Students pay just $25 with valid =
university ID.=A0
