Saturday Confessions/A Priest's Tale is a play consisting of a series of
scenes written by Northeast Ohio collective, The Scriveners. Taking
place at St. Aloysius Church in their confessional box on a seemingly
ordinary day, things go terribly askew as Father Menzicki must forgive a
group of highly unusual sinners in record time in order to make it to a
family gathering. In the tradition of Chaucer, it is irreverent and
bawdy, but at the same time, it explores what it means to be a man of
God, and just a man.

The writers of The Scriveners include William A. Alexander, Joanne
Durante, Pamela V. Merkys, Sarah Osinsky and Gary Webster. The
Scriveners has had much transformation since it was founded about seven
years ago. Early in 2006 they researched the process of writing as a
group of more than three people, and discovered, to their knowledge,
there actually has been no precedent in theater. Until now!
The cast includes Daniel McElhaney, Katrina Walker, Scot Striffler, Amy
DeAngelis, Stuart Hoffman, Sapphire DeFranco, Stephanie Ford and Marvin
L. Mallory
