Contemporary Youth Orchestra Does Led Zeppelin
   
  The Contemporary Youth Orchestra presents its acclaimed annual Rock the Orchestra concert this year on Friday, June 8, at 8:00 p.m., at Cleveland’s Masonic Auditorium (3615 Euclid Avenue).  
   
  For this year’s concert, CYO will perform Jaz Coleman’s 90-minute suite of Led Zeppelin music, Kashmir: Symphonic Led Zeppelin.  Coleman, a British musician and composer, is the founder of the influential English post-punk band Killing Joke.
   
  Joining the orchestra and its youth chorus for the concert are three dynamic soloists: violinist and Cleveland Orchestra associate concertmaster Ellen dePasquale; Irish piper Brian Bigley, a native Clevelander who has performed at Carnegie Hall with the Chieftains and toured with the Southern California Irish rock band the the Fenians; and Kanoon and oud player John Vartan Valentine, one of the country’s foremost experts on Middle Eastern musical. 
   
  Conducted by its founder and director, Liza Grossman, the Contemporary Youth Orchestra (CYO) is composed of more than 100 of the top high school-age musicians in the region, representing more than 40 schools and communities.
