North Olmsted Cultural Activities Commission and
Kiwanis Club to host a revised one day Juried Art Show and Barbecue Chicken
Dinner at Frostville Museum, Request local artist participants

The City of North Olmsted Cultural Activities Commission and The Kiwanis
Club of North Olmsted will be cosponsoring a revised Inaugural North Olmste=
d
Juried Arts & Crafts Show held at the Frostville Museum, Olmsted Historical
Society=B9s Museum of Nineteenth Century Americana, which is located in the
Rocky River Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks.  The date and hours of the
show are Sunday, August 12th between the hours of 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. In
addition to the juried exhibition, there will be a North Olmsted high schoo=
l
aged student juried exhibition and a canned food drive to benefit the North
Olmsted Food Bank, which will be supervised by the North Olmsted High Schoo=
l
Key Club. The Barbecue Chicken Dinner will be prepared and sold by Lone Sta=
r
Steakhouse.=20

All local artists are encouraged to submit applications along with photos o=
f
representative works to be judged and offered for sale at the show. To date
approximately 300 local artists have been invited to participate. Members o=
f
the North Olmsted Cultural Activities Commission will supervise judging.
Proceeds will help support the charitable programs of the Kiwanis Club of
North Olmsted and the Olmsted Historical Society.  A prospectus and
application may be obtained from any Commission or Kiwanis member or by

Applications will also be available from Shannon English at the North
Olmsted City Hall as well as the spring functions at the Frostville Museum.

This show has been adjusted from the previously advertised two day show wit=
h
of course, a reduced application fee. Frostville Museum is located at the
base of Cedar Point Hill in the North Olmsted section of Cleveland
Metroparks and is a small village and museum of Nineteenth century
Americana operated  by the Olmsted Historical Society.=20
