A wonderful concert, Wednesday, June 20, in Cain Park’s intimate Alma Theater.

20 performers share the stage to “repair the world” – the Jewish concept of “Tikkun Olam.”

The 3rd-annual Jewish Music Festival, this year subtitled: "For Repair of the World, One Song at a Time," features Cantor Ilana Wolpert, Cantor Laurel Barr, Cheryl Eitman, Celia Hollander Lewis and Charlie Lewis (from Athens, OH), David Budin, Chuck Fink, Norm Tischler, Adina Bloom, Rachel Eisenberg, Roxanne Sukol, Sharon Young-Deutchman, and the women’s chorus Vayehi Or (Let There Be Light).

But not all the songs are “Jewish” in the traditional sense: They range from early Bob Dylan to current Martina McBride, from modern Broadway to contemporary Israeli, and from Burt Bacharach to Phil Ochs, Graham Nash and Cheryl Wheeler.

Proceeds go to the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Cleveland. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 day of show. 216-371-3000; www.cainpark.com.
