  The Cassidy Theatre announces auditions for

  DREAMGIRLS

  Starring

  Trinidad Snider as Deena Jones  
   Ayeshah Douglas as Effie White 
  and Caron Wykle as Lorelle Robinson

  Directed by Geoffrey Short   Musical Direction by David Williams 
  with Choreography by Jennifer Glowe and Costumes by Lester Currie

  A large multi-cultural cast of actors, singers and dancers is needed for this incredible musical about the behind-the-scenes reality of the entertainment industry at a time when we were still screaming for Elvis and the Beatles, but were dancing to the new beat of countless girl and boy groups like The Supremes, The Marvelettes, The Temptations and The Shirelles. 

  With the exception of Deena, Effie and Lorelle, all roles are open including:

  Curtis Taylor, Jr.
  James Thunder Early
  C.C. White
  Marty
  Michelle Morris
  and many other fantastic character roles! Great opportunities for character actors of all ethnicities to play multiple roles!

  Run dates for Dreamgirls are September 28th - October 14th, 2007.  Rehearsals will begin August 6th.

  Auditions will be held:
  Monday, June 18th 7p-9p 
  Tuesday, June 19th at 7p-9p 
  Call-backs on Thursday, June 21st at 7p-9p 
  all at the Cassidy Theatre - 
  located at 6200 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, Ohio (440) 842-4600

  Initial auditions will consist of singing and movement.  Please prepare a song and bring sheet music in the correct key.  An accompanist will be provided.  Please dress for movement.  More readings will be done at call-backs.
