Andy Gorski has a sweet Catholic mother (Emily) , a sour Catholic father =
(Phil), and a younger brother named Mickey who is disabled.  Mickey's =
entire vocabulary consists of "Oh boy!" and "Wow!" It's Christmas Eve, =
and Andy has brought his fiance home to meet his family. There's a bit =
of a difficulty, though: Randi is a Jewish atheist, which will not go =
over well with his conservative parents. Andy's worst fears about a =
family blow-up are about to be realized, prompting Mickey to suddenly =
cry out "Greetings!"

Phil & Emily are distressed, to say the least, at nearly everything =
about Randi, who is not their idea of the ideal daughter-in-law. =
Immediately, the family faces cultural and generational clashes and are =
firing off needling one-liners and generating more shock and surprises =
in one another than anyone could have expected. The familiar =
claustrophobic tenseness of holiday family gatherings, to which we can =
all relate, explodes in a hilarious free-for-all!

With Andy pleading, his father rapidly turning into Archie Bunker, his =
put-upon mother desperately trying to make peace, Mickey's unpredictable =
outbursts, Randi is left in wide-eyed wonder as to how these people have =
managed to keep from killing one another all these years.How is this all =
going to get sorted out? It seems like it would take some sort of =
miracle! Ah, but fear not; help is on the way, from someone completely =
unexpected
