Queen Bee Productions will present A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A =
Prayer, directed by Deb Lemire on Friday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m.  The =
monologues feature notable writers such as Alice Walker, Kim Crenshaw, =
Michael Cunningham and Kathy Najimy.=20

These writings, from a groundbreaking collection edited by author and =
playwright Eve Ensler, are inspired, funny, angry, heartfelt, tragic, =
and beautiful. But above all, together they create a true and profound =
portrait of the issue of violence against women and it's effect on every =
one of us.

On stage will be Taba Aleem, Heather Burns (WAPS), Christine Grisez, =
Russell Kunz, Eric Mansfield (WKYC-TV), Kendra Norris, Margo Parker, =
Marci Paolucci, Damaris Patterson, Donna Rizor-Longfellow, , Kim Wheeler =
(WKYC-TV).  The reading will be accompanied by composer/arranger Marge =
Adler.

A Memory, A Monologue. is part of the ongoing V-Day|Until the Violence =
Stops: Northeast Ohio Festival.  It will be held at the main branch of =
the Akron-Summit County Public Library, located at 60 S. High St. in =
downtown Akron.   Tickets are $15 if purchased ahead of time through the =
website at www.utvsneo.org or $20 at the door.

V-Day: Until the Violence Stops Northeast Ohio, a festival of theatre, =
spoken word, performance and community events to raise awareness for the =
issue of violence against women and girls running from June 17-July 1. =
The Festival is produced through a collaboration of Queen Bee =
Productions of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Women's Network's Women Central =
Project. Producing partners also include the Cleveland Indians; Northern =
Ohio Live magazine; Donna Rizor-Longfellow, UBS Financial and epitome =
magazine. Until the Violence Stops Northeast Ohio is also a recipient of =
a $10,000 grant from the Akron Community Foundation.
