  INFORMATION-
(June 25, 2007) Fourth Wall Productions closes out its first season with the World Premiere of Malicious Bunny, a dark comedy by Cleveland Playwright Matthew A. Sprosty.

Rebecca Cole directs this dark comedy about one man’s quest to avoid getting a divorce at all costs. The last time Sprosty and Cole paired up (for 2006’s Schism) an audience member wrote- “It truly was one of the best cast, best acted, best directed, best written shows I've seen [in Cleveland] (second only to CPH's I am My Own Wife).” –Lincoln King-Cliby. Malicious Bunny features the talents of Nate Bigger, Stephanie Ford, Dash Combs, Kat Gallagher, and Steve Hoffman.

  ABOUT MALICIOUS BUNNY
The play Malicious Bunny is set in present day, and confronts the obscene statistics on divorce in the United States. Jonathon Wicks (Nate Bigger) has vowed since his parents divorced when he was five- that he would never get divorced himself. Marrying Angela (Stephanie Ford), a girl who also said she didn’t want divorce on her love-life-record, he now finds himself having to go to extreme means to keep her excited and satisfied.

When her boredom gets too much, Angela asks Jonathon to murder her parents in order to make them millionaires, and her happy. As Jonathon chews on the idea, he constantly worries, and asks, if someone is doing the most horrific things in the name of love- does it really make them a monster?

Fourth Wall Productions has been an integral force in the writing and forming of this play. A copy of the script was handed out to Miscreant Productions in Columbus who passed only because of conflicts with Fourth Wall’s production (Miscreant Productions is now doing Matthew A. Sprosty’s Schism in the Fall.) Another theatre company, Foolish Bison Players, got a copy of Malicious Bunny and immediately wanted to start their season off with it. Only giving themselves a month for their production, Foolish Bison opens their Workshop Production of Malicious Bunny in Columbus on June 29th. The instant attraction to the script from other theatre companies makes Fourth Wall excited for Cleveland to see this play.

  ABOUT FOURTH WALL PRODUCTIONS

Fourth Wall Productions is one of Cleveland’s newest theatre companies whose main goal is to engage a younger audience into the wonderful world of theatre by using unpublished / unknown plays. The Founding Members of Fourth Wall all went to Ohio University together, and formed their company from the different departments the School of Theatre had to offer. Putting together Ohio University and Cleveland-area talent, Fourth Wall’s goal is to continue to do a type of theatre that will connect with an audience in the 16-35 age range, yet will entertain an audience of all ages. It’s through Fourth Wall’s introduction of theatre, and friendship with other regional theatres, that they hope to broaden theatre appreciation within the Cleveland community, and build upon Cleveland’s theatre reputation for new works.
