The Confessions of Punch and Judy

by Raymond Bobgan, Tannis Kowalchuk and Ker Wells

Directed by Raymond Bobgan

Gordon Square Theatre

February 14 - February 23

=20

Just in time for Valentine's Day, CPT brings back the critically
acclaimed The Confessions of Punch and Judy. Don't miss this wild
all-night argument that captures the anarchic spirit of the classic
Punch and Judy puppet show. Slapstick, stylish, viciously honest, and
full of surprises, the show is performed by virtuoso performers Tannis
Kowalchuk and Ker Wells, who leap between realism and surrealism,
exposing the horror and beauty of a relationship. The Confessions of
Punch and Judy had its World Premiere at CPT in 2005 to rave reviews and
has since been performed off-Broadway, throughout the United States,
Canada, Serbia and the UK. Original Work

Living Tall=20
by Mike Geither
Directed by Karen Randoja
James Levin Theatre

An audience favorite and a sell-out from last year's Big [BOX] series,
CPT presents this new play by a local playwright for a one week limited
engagement. In Living Tall, a businessman attempts to give a lively
workshop on increasing sales, but he can't seem to stay on message.
Living Tall is a wondrous performance that reveals the hollowness of the
marketplace and the resiliency on the spirit. Featuring the versatile
and talented Ker Wells, Living Tall had its World Premiere at CPT in
2007. =20

Zimbabwe, two young women experience a bizarre weekend of darkly comic,
life altering revelations. With two actors playing dozens of roles, In
the Continuum promises to engage audiences in its story of parallel
denials and self-discoveries. Ohio Premiere

Two plays by Gao Xingjian
Directed by Michael Mauldin and Holly Holsinger
Gordon Square Theatre
May 22 - June 14

Gao Xingjian is the 2000 winner of the Nobel Prize for literature. Born
in China, he now lives in exile in France. His plays are virtually
un-produced in the United States due to their adventurous style and
non-narrative structure. CPT presents two of his works, Between Life and
Death and The Other Shore, in collaboration with the Cleveland State
University Department of Theatre. CPT will conduct a series of public
outreach projects related to these plays focusing on the Asian American
community. Ohio Premiere
